Another Year is Over: Remembering 2022

Twenty-twenty-two is now a part of history. For me, it was a weird sort of year. I have started to list my highlights and a few low ones below. Perhaps I should have started writing this journal entry a few days ago, as I can’t think of anything to add at the moment, and no, it is not because of drinking in the new year. I will add to this over the next few weeks.

Highlights:

  • My family are all still here.
  • My granddaughters are growing up fast and with beautiful characters.
  • I turned 60.
  • I went to the Etihad for the first time to watch Manchester City.
  • Went to Fishers Farm Park for the girl’s birthday. A great day out!
  • Evie and Maisie had a joint birthday party.
  • Went to see the Christmas Lights at Marwell Zoo. The girls loved it!
  • Went to Fishers Farm Park to see Santa with the girls. Another great day out!

Other Bits:

  • I finally started David’s Day!

My Health:

Or lowlights!

  • I got COVID twice.
  • I had a cataract operation on my right eye.
  • I found out I have a cataract in my left eye.
  • I found out I have diabetic maculopathy in both eyes.
  • I had three ECGs, a three-day ECG, an Echocardiogram and a Coronary Angiogram
  • I discovered I have Diffuse Coronary Artery Disease.
