TL;DR
The Gist of Saturday: Pills, Projects, and a Win
Awake too often, ache in the hip, Lily chaos before dawn, small errands, small wins, and City made it worth the stress.
Before dawn
2:28. Woke with the usual ache in the left hip, went for a pee, then tried sleeping on the wrong side.
4:48. Lily launched off Ruth and landed on me like a lead balloon — bladder, nether bits, instant crisis. I dashed to the loo, came back to find her purring in my warm spot like nothing happened.
6:32. Lily’s usual chorus — food, freedom, or both. My watch said morning; my body filed a complaint.
Errands
Saturday morning. First of two trips into town — the pharmacy run. Off to collect our monthly haul of pills, like rationing for the mildly unwell.
The two trips became one. The pharmacy was empty for once, so I lingered. With time to spare, I grabbed muffins — mini pizzas for tea: one errand, two meals solved.
Projects
Back home, I built a new system in ChatGPT’s Projects. Fifteen files, each doing one job, and suddenly the mess behaves. Prompts snap into place, outputs line up. The results are, frankly, shit-hot.
Football
Sat down meaning to nap before the football. The chair agreed; the mind didn’t. The snooze never arrived.
Man City won. Sixty-three minutes of muttering at the radio. Stressful. Then the second goal, and breath. Football, somehow, is still worth it.
Film
Watched a French film dubbed in English. Mistake. The voices didn’t match the faces, the rhythm went, and every line felt borrowed. Should’ve trusted the subtitles.
