TL;DR
The Gist of Rain, Glitches, and Pie
Woke mid-dream to a false panic, saw Ruth off in the rain, worked through tech hiccups, ate the wrong dinner for the right reasons, and ended the day with “Frauds” finale on TV.
02:06. Woke sure I hadn’t put Lily’s litter tray down. In the dream, we were away, it was dark and raining, and she was desperate. Lily jumped on me. Realised it was a dream. Heart slowed, breath even. Felt daft, but better. Slept.
06:40. Walked Ruth to Peter Pan Preschool in the rain. Still had my reading glasses on and blamed the blur on the weather. Helped put out the tables and small plastic chairs — wooden tables. Said goodbye and walked back alone. Coat damp. Still raining.
Started adding cruises to Cruisez. Reached 29, then Grammarly stopped like it needed a tea break. Momentum gone. I muttered, refreshed, waited. It’s daft how a tiny hiccup knocks the whole morning sideways.
Found out later that Grammarly was down because of an AWS outage. Felt oddly vindicated — not me, them. Still, doesn’t fix the pause it caused. Funny how silence on the screen can stall you.
Steak pie for tea. Don’t have it often — not exactly low-carb, not exactly wise. But it smelled too good to argue with. Ate it, enjoyed it, then did the usual maths in my head. Worth it, probably.
Watched the final part of *Frauds* tonight. Predictable — saw the twist coming. Did the job, easy to watch. Clearly setting up another series.
